Glacier x NextDNS

The integration of NextDNS into Glacier brings advanced features like real-time threat intelligence, content filtering and malware blocking. Users gain greater control over network traffic and customized security policies, providing confidence and peace of mind while navigating the digital landscape.

NextDNS is a cloud-based DNS filtering and security solution that provides advanced protection against online threats. It acts as an intermediary between users and the internet, filtering out malicious websites, blocking ads, and providing customizable security policies. Glacier has partnered with NextDNS by implementing the NextDNS core engine into Glacier's Security Hub, offering features like real-time threat intelligence, content filtering and malware blocking to ensure a more secure mobile experience.

NextDNS was founded in May 2019 by Romain Cointepas and Olivier Poitrey. In 2005, Oliver founded Dailymotion, the largest video sharing service after YouTube and the most popular European website in the world at the time. He is currently Director of Engineering at Netflix, working on Open Connect, Netflix's home Content Delivery Network (CDN) also known as the CDN moving about 30% of the total US Internet traffic.

Both Glacier and NextDNS are true supporters of net neutrality and Internet privacy. We believe that un-encrypted DNS resolvers operated by ISPs are detrimental to those two principles.
