Updates and new features for all Glacier applications

Today we're releasing big updates across all platforms. We're excited to introduce the ability to join an existing Glacier call as well as a new security feature to help you double check links before you click on them.

Android

  • Ability to join existing group calls
  • Improvements to video and audio quality in group/1:1 calls
  • Fixed accidental screen touches due to proximity sensor while on a call
  • Fixed issues with audio playback when minimizing call
  • Fixed issues with missed call notifications getting lost in conversation history
  • Fixed issue with video compression notification on Android 12
  • Core profiles that have been removed from your account no longer show in the app
  • Disappearing message timers are now for both sides of the conversation
  • New security notification when tapping on an external link

iOS

  • Disappearing message timers are now for both sides of the conversation
  • New security notification when tapping on an external link
  • Improvements to video and audio quality in group/1:1 calls
  • Fixed issue with links sent from the desktop client

Desktop

  • App zoom setting now persists through closing app
  • No longer hear notification chime for your own messages in groups
  • New status icon next to user's name in 1:1 messages
  • Fresh new message notification chime
  • Compress new avatar images before uploading them

Console

  • Added ability to add users quickly with email addresses in bulk
  • Added ability to create users in bulk with CSV
  • Adding users to teams now uses a drop down selector in place of the auto complete field
  • Updates to the Glacier StatusPage (glaciersecurity.statuspage.io)
