Today we are officially introducing the Guardian app, a rebrand of the existing Glacier mobile application. This change reflects a strategic decision to unify our flagship product line under a single, clearly defined identity.
What Guardian Delivers
Guardian is Glacier Security's flagship platform for endpoint hardening, secure communications, active threat protection, and encrypted network infrastructure. It was purpose-built for high risk individuals, organizations, executive leadership teams, and operational environments where standard consumer security tools fall short.
Hardened Device Management. Guardian enforces enterprise-grade security policies across iOS and Android device fleets. This goes well beyond conventional MDM. We are talking supervised device configurations, managed application deployment, continuous compliance monitoring, and lockdown profiles that eliminate common attack surfaces at the operating system level.
Secure Communications. All voice, messaging, and file transfer activity routed through Guardian is encrypted end to end. The platform ensures that sensitive communications between team members, executives, and external stakeholders remain protected against interception, metadata analysis, and unauthorized access.
Active Threat Protection. Guardian continuously monitors for threats across multiple vectors: phishing campaigns, malicious application behavior, network-based exploits, and indicators of surveillance tooling. Detection is paired with automated response capabilities that neutralize threats before they compromise a device or exfiltrate data.
Encrypted Network Infrastructure. Guardian constructs encrypted network tunnels using WireGuard-based architecture to shield all device traffic from interception. This is not a consumer VPN. It is a multi-hop, field-tested network layer designed to maintain operational security whether a user is connected from a corporate office, a public network, or a high risk environment abroad.
Target Use Cases
Guardian is designed for organizations and individuals whose threat model exceeds what off-the-shelf security products can address.
That includes C-suite executives and board members who travel internationally and face targeted surveillance risk. It includes government agencies and defense contractors operating under strict compliance requirements. It includes law firms, financial institutions, and family offices managing high-value assets and sensitive client data. It includes nonprofits, journalists, and NGOs operating in regions with state-sponsored monitoring.
In each of these cases, the common thread is the same: the default tools were never built to handle adversarial conditions. Guardian was.
Impact on Existing Deployments
For organizations currently running the Glacier app, this transition requires no changes.
What Comes Next
This rebrand is the first step in a broader initiative to streamline the Guardian platform and expand its capabilities. We have significant development milestones on the roadmap and will be sharing detailed updates in the coming months.
